Terms of Service
The rules governing your use of this website and our in-person services. Updated April 2026.
1. Who we are
Oakdale DMV Services ("we," "us," "our") operates this website and provides in-person California DMV paperwork processing at 345 West F Street, Oakdale, CA 95361. We are a privately owned business authorized by the California DMV under Vehicle Code Section 1685 to process registration transactions on behalf of the state.
We are not a government agency. We are not the California DMV. While we process official DMV paperwork, we are a private service provider. If you prefer to work with a government office directly, you may visit any California state DMV location.
2. Using this website
By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You may not attempt to interfere with the site's operation, submit false or misleading information through any form, use automated tools to scrape content, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems.
3. Accuracy of information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the information on this website is accurate and up-to-date. However, California DMV rules, fees, and procedures change periodically. We do not guarantee that all information on the site is current at any given moment.
For official, authoritative information about California DMV procedures, refer to the California DMV's own website at dmv.ca.gov or contact our office to verify specifics for your transaction.
Information on this website should not be considered legal, tax, or financial advice. For advice specific to your situation, consult an appropriately licensed professional.
4. Form submissions
When you submit a form on this website, you are providing information so we can respond to your inquiry. You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to submit it. We may not be able to respond to incomplete or inaccurate submissions.
Submitting a form does not create a contract or commitment. We respond based on the information available to us and reserve the right to decline to provide services in specific situations.
5. Our DMV processing services
When you bring DMV paperwork to our office, you authorize us to process that paperwork on your behalf with the California DMV. You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information and authentic documents
- Paying all applicable DMV fees, use taxes, penalties, and our service fee
- Signing required forms with the name shown on your driver license or ID
- Retaining your own copies of receipts and documents
We are responsible for:
- Processing your transaction accurately and submitting paperwork to the DMV in a timely manner
- Handling your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Providing receipts and documentation of the transaction
If a transaction cannot be completed (for example, due to missing documents, unresolved DMV holds, or paperwork issues beyond our control), we'll explain why and suggest next steps. Fees for uncompleted transactions are refunded except for any nonrefundable state fees already submitted to the DMV.
6. Service fees and refunds
Our service fee is in addition to state DMV fees and is disclosed to you before we process the transaction. Payment is due at the time of service. Once a transaction has been submitted to the DMV, state fees are generally non-refundable, though we will refund our service fee in cases where we cannot complete the service promised.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of this website or our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific transaction at issue. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee that any specific transaction will be accepted by the DMV or processed within any specific time frame. DMV acceptance depends on the accuracy and completeness of the documents submitted, state processing times, and other factors outside our control.
8. Intellectual property
The content on this website, text, images, design, logos, is owned by us or licensed to us. You may view and print pages for personal reference. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.
The California DMV forms linked from our DMV Forms page are property of the State of California and subject to their own terms of use.
9. Third-party websites
Our website links to third-party resources, primarily California DMV forms and reference pages on dmv.ca.gov. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of third-party sites.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the site with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Stanislaus County, California.
